We’re turning off asks, it’s defeating the purpose of our blog. This blog is to document what we go trough at FIT: To commiserate and laugh with others.
We don’t answer questions about admissions/majors etc. That is not the purpose of the blog. The occasional question or too was fine, but dealing with people hounding us for answers that WE DON’T KNOW is a little frustrating. We get it: Here’s a direct and immediate source for FIT, but we cannot emphasize enough that we ARE NOT the school. Thank you for your previous inquires about the school and life here I’m 100% sure your heart was in the right place.
As a courtesy we will rapid fire a few common questions as we will never answer inquiries about school policies/life again:
Do we like FIT?
Overall it’s great, but we have our days. We have moments where we wonder if this right choice, but that’s any choice we make. Your experiences are what you make them. We like some teachers and realize others are crazy…and bias.
When did we get an acceptance letter?
How may Pieces did you have for portfolio?
Nine-Twelve. It’s dependent on what your major demands.
What are the dorms like?
Struggle, but we love the closeness of the city. The safety (as much as people like to complain) is topnotch. We feel extremely safe right in the middle of NYC’s busiest and at times sketchiest areas.
What is your Major?
What is nightlife like?
You can pick your poison.
Do you ever meet guys? I mean like dating? Is there nightlife.
Yup. Just talk to people and go out. You’ll meet someone. Is there nightlife?! Ha! It’s NYC!
Is it a dry campus?
Yes. People here drink, like they would in another place. But do so at your own risk. They have the right to search your room if there’s any suspicion.
Who are you?
We’re just a bunch of friends/classmates that like to blog about our daily lives at school.
Does FIT pay you to run this blog?
Nope. We’re not endorsed by FIT in any way.
I don’t know if any of you have read through long winded post, but really… thanks if you have.
To those who just got or are getting their acceptance letter for FIT. Welcome my brother/sister/etc:
Our submissions are still open. Please share your experiences with us!
